Together we make things happen! Thank you for making our 26th Annual Markham Prayer breakfast another wonderful success.

We were honoured that The Right Honourable David Johnston was available to join us and share his faith journey, we were delighted how beautiful our new home Angus Glen Golf Club was and we were overjoyed that the event was sold out.

We are grateful, your attendance is a testament to the power of prayer within our Markham Community. To our generous sponsors, thank you, we could not do this without you.
We are inspired by you and look forward to 2024!

Please keep prayer in your hearts and let us continue to pray for our Community leaders who govern that they make decisions based on wisdom and equity, righteousness and peace.

Greetings from the Markham Prayer Breakfast!

2022 has arrived and the year is not off to a good start as COVID variants continue to cause havoc with our daily lives.
The Markham Prayer Breakfast team however are still ‘riding high’ on a great 2021 in person Prayer Breakfast.

It was a great event, albeit somewhat scaled down form our usual gathering size. The meeting was live streamed and over 500 people were able to join in the prayer breakfast either on-line or in-person. While we cannot tell how the pandemic will work out during this year, we remain confident that we will be holding a full in-person prayer breakfast on
                              “Friday November 25th, 2022″ 
Plans are well underway for a spectacular event to recognize our                      25th Anniversary as The Markham Prayer Breakfast.   Our 25th on the 25th! Please save the date!

Our sole objective is to join all Christians together in Markham to pray for our leaders at all levels of government, commerce, and industry. We ask that you join us not only in November but throughout the year in praying for strong committed leadership.

We will be sharing a meal together in-person from about 7:10 to 7:35 am… so for those online, feel free to prepare breakfast and eat with us. The main program will begin at approximately 7:35 am and wrap up at 9 am. We hope you can join us!

This year we are almost back to normal, but in a much scaled down format.
Here’s what you need to know:
The Event 24th Annual Markham Prayer Breakfast
When Friday 26th November, 2021
Time Usual time-we start at 7 a.m. with a wrap up about 9 a.m.
Where Our new temporary home is:
St. Maurice & St. Verena Coptic Orthodox Church
Where The church is located at 3300 Highway #7 East. Just a few blocks west of our usual “Hilton’ venue, at the intersection of Highway #7 and Rodick Road.
Guest Speaker Michael Messenger – President of World Vision Canada.
Ministry of Music Abagayil Hatt – Abagayil is a singer/musician and accomplished harpist.

We are excited to be planning an ‘In Person’ & ‘Live Streamed’ Prayer Breakfast this year and we look forward to great participation in November.

Staying Positive In The Midst Of Hardship

Greetings from the Markham Prayer Breakfast Steering Committee.

Surely the end is in sight! The light at the end of the very very long COVID tunnel is growing brighter day by day.

This year’s Markham Prayer Breakfast is scheduled for Friday November 26th 2021 at our usual location-The Markham Hilton Hotel (Warden and Highway #7)

We are looking forward to the event and plans are coming together with a speaker already engaged and participants in our ministry of music fully prepared. The actual ‘breakfast’ part of the Prayer Breakfast remains a work in progress as we navigate through what we anticipate are the finals stages of the pandemic.

For the summer, the committee will be ‘gone fishing’ however we will stay in touch with our newsletter and web site updates.
 
We ask and encourage you to continue your individual prayers for our government and business leaders as they continue to work towards a speedy end to the pandemic.
